We started out D2 with a cup of coffee in our beds in the chilly conditioned room with a view of the Jitra Mall representing the development of the district that was once considered former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir’s stronghold. Without a due, we were up and ready and headed to the KKKP.
There we were greeted by the wonderful En. Hussain once more and he handed us over to two of his mates, En. Khairul and En. Razak of the Food Safety Unit. They are in charge of the food sampling process which was what they were supposed to teach us about. After a short briefing, they brought us to Taman Sinaran, a neighbourhood with shop lots 5 kilometres from the district health office.
There En. Khairul brought us into one of the grocery shop for some shopping aka sampling. Now, we were not actually allowed to see the real sampling process, because we had to become official court witnesses if so a product was found to be positive. So En. Khairul arranged a mock process for our benefit. Thankfully he finished early and we found ourselves with a huge lunch break session of which we spent it wisely sleeping in our hotel rooms.
At 2, we met up once again with En. Khairul and En. Razak at their office in the KKKP where he explained in detail the legality issues faced by the team on finding a tainted sample.
At 4, we had a talk with En Osman, PPPK bahagian HIV dan TiBi, about you guessed it, HIV and TB. Even though, it was the nappy time for the usual batch 9 scholars, En Osman managed to nail the topics right up the brain, deep into the sella turcica. Dispersed at 5 and here we are once again enjoying the unexpected development of Kubang Pasu sipping lattes in Uncle John’s coffee looking forward to D3.
